“Peeping Tom” at Huntington Mall

A “Peeping Tom” has been secretly filming undressed women in the changing rooms at Walt Whitman Mall, and Police are asking for help in identifying and arresting him.

Suffolk Police say that the man – described as a Hispanic male of medium height, medium-heavy build, with black, bushy hair – was lurking around the Women’s Changing Rooms in several stores at the Mall on May 1st.

In one instance, a nearly-naked woman who was changing clothes at Urban Outfitters looked down to see a cell phone camera being held under the changing room partition, to film her naked. The woman screamed, and the man ran away.

The woman was in the fitting room when the man reached under the wall from a neighboring fitting room and recorded her with his cell phone. This occurred around 3:35 PM on May 1st, police said. The man is wanted for unlawful surveillance.

A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
