New Head for Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce

Jennifer Cassidy is the new chair of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. The swearing in ceremony took place on November 16th, at the chamber’s annual networking breakfast at the Harbor Club at Prime, in Halesite.


Cassidy succeeds Vito Scaturro, who served in the position for three years.


Cassidy has held different positions in the financial services industry over the past seventeen years. Her experience includes business development, commercial and consumer lending, as well as insurance and investments. She is currently an Assistant Vice President and Market Manager at Peoples United Bank for the Port Jefferson business market.


She has been an active member of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce since 2007, serving on the Board of Directors since 2012. In 2016 she became the Treasurer of the Chamber and served on the Executive Board. She was the Chair of the Young Professionals committee from 2013-2016 and is currently the Co-Chair of the Women in Business Committee.


Cassidy is the co-founder and Treasurer of the Mary Jayne Casillo Foundation for Cancer Research and Awareness, Inc., which was created in 2008. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Huntington Library Foundation, and serves on the Suffolk County Legislature Next Generation Advisory Council.


The Chamber of Commerce in the Village of Huntington was incorporated nearly 100 years ago, in 1925. It serves and represents the interests of business, industry, financial service, not-for-profit, and other professionals within the greater Huntington area.
