Moorings Available in Oyster Bay

by Maureen Daly

According to Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Vicki Walsh (R-East Norwich), over 700 boat moorings are now available in Oyster Bay harbor.

Walsh reminds residents interested in mooring their boats on the north shore to contact the Oyster Bay Town Department of Environmental Resources to obtain one of the moorings offered just off the shore of the marina, located at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay.

"Our beautiful Town boasts water on both its north and south shores, making boating a popular activity for our residents," said Walsh. "Our pristine harbor has convenient moorings for boating enthusiasts who are looking to access the waters of Oyster Bay Harbor and beyond."

Mooring permits are $50 for Town residents and $75 for non-residents. Permits are effective from March 1st through the end of the year. For more information, contact the Oyster Bay Department of Environmental Resources at (516) 677-5811.
