Masked Thugs Rob Stores in Huntington

The New York crime wave reached into Huntington with a series of brazen thefts by masked thugs.

Criminals continue to take advantage of Covid "masking" policies. Where wearing masks indoors was once suspicious, now it's "normal" and enables criminals to hide their identities.

Suffolk Police are seeking three men - dubbed the "Black Mask Crew" who stole credit cards from a gym locker at LA Fitness on West Jericho Turnpike in West Hills. The criminals then used the cards to make over $2,000 in purchases at the BJ's in Farmingdale.

Suffolk Police are also seeking three people - dubbed the "White Mask Crew" who stole $4,000 in allergy medicines from the Target store on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station.

The common factor in both sets of thefts was that the criminals wore Covid face masks to conceal their identities, while brazenly and openly committing their crimes.
