LVHS Senior Peyton Tini Scores 1000!

Locust Valley High School senior Payton Tini has scored her 1,000th point in basketball, a significant achievement that only four other female Locust Valley Falcons have ever earned.


In the January Locust Valley game against Malverne, Tini scored her milestone 1,000th point with a free throw.


According to the Locust Valley school district, Tini is only the fourth Locust Valley girls varsity basketball player to achieve 1,000 points in her career.


Tini serves as co-captain of the varsity team, and celebrated her important 1,000-point milestone with her teammates during a timeout.


After Tini's free throw, he Locust Valley team went on to win 53-39 against Malverne.


Throughout the game, Tini scored 25 points, and made nine rebounds, four assists, and six steals.


Ever since the 8th grade, Tini has played on the varsity basketball team.


Tini also made a Long Island record for starting in 54 consecutive winning games in 2020 and 2021, and is being named All-County and All-State in 2022.


She will be heading-off to play basketball for Rutgers University for this upcoming fall season.
