Endorsement: John Kennedy for Suffolk Comptroller

John Kennedy, Suffolk County's Republican Comptroller, is facing only token opposition to his re-election. That is a reflection of his hard and effective work as Suffolk's fiscal watchdog.

Kennedy was elected Comptroller in 2014, after serving for years as a County Legislator. And he then took over the responsibilities of County Treasurer, when that positions was consolidated under the Comptroller. Those years of service have made Kennedy a fiscal expert over Suffolk's finances.

Kennedy has saved the taxpayers tens of millions of dollars through his pursuit of waste and fraud in the budget. And his deep experience has meant that there is no bureaucratic trick that gets by him.

Well-liked and deeply-respected, Kennedy has been an outstanding County Comptroller, and champion of Suffolk's taxpayers.
