Jozefowski, Marion S., peacefully at home on December 17, age 90, of Bayville. Beloved husband of the late Alice. Loving father of Anita Walsh (Kevin), Richard (Margaret), and Paul. Cherished grandfather “Dziadzia” of Kira, James, Julia, Cara, and Elyssa. Also survived by loving relatives and friends. He was a proud WWII Veteran and member of Bayville American Legion Robert H. MINTON, Marian (Minxie) Haven peacefully from complications associated with breast cancer on December 17 of New York City and Mount Kisco. She was educated at Nightingale-Bamford School (NY), Foxcroft School (VA), and Brillantmont School (Switzerland).
She married Dwight Church Minton on August 4, 1956 and started life in Panama courtesy of the United States Army. In 1957 they moved to New Haven where Dwight completed his undergraduate degree at Yale and Valerie was born. Then on to Palo Alto in 1959 where Dwight earned his MBA at Stanford and Daphne was born. Eventually they moved to Locust Valley when Dwight joined the family firm of Church & Dwight Company, Inc., Henry Brewster was born.
Active in the Garden Club of America, Minxie became a horticulturalist working at Planting Fields Arboretum in the 1970s. In 1980 they moved to Princeton, NJ, and started summering in Bozeman, Montana. After years of coming to the Elkhorn Ranch as guests, Minxie and Dwight purchased the Elkhorn and relished every summer, eventually making Bozeman their home.
She is survived by her husband Dwight Minton, three children Valerie (Jim Webster) of Bozeman, Montana, Daphne (Scott White) of Durango, Colorado, and H. Brewster Minton of Southampton, New York, and her four grandchildren, E. Haven Webster, Cameron S. Webster, Danny M. Webster, and Wickes B. Minton.
Bozeman friends and relatives will celebrate Minxie’s life Thursday, December 22 in Bozeman. Friends and relatives will gather at the Elkhorn Ranch in June 2012 for a ‘Service of Remembrance’.
