ALMAS, Judith of Glen Cove on August 5, age 85. Beloved wife of the late Norman. Loving mother of Irene, Rachel, and the late Steven (Jean). Dear sister of Hannah Kantor. Proud grandmother of Peter. Also survived by cousins, and her nephew Bill. Volunteered at GC Senior Center (fund raiser) and received mutliple certificates of appreciation from the mayor’s office. BARTSCHERER, Werner of Glen Cove, on August 2, age 67. Born in Germany, resided in Glen Cove for 30 years. He worked as an auto mechanic for Rally Motors Mercedes-Benz for over 15 years. He is survived by his loving companion Maureen Verdon. Arrangements entrusted to Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove.

FILARDI, Robert J. on Aug. 7, age 78, of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Bayville. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Loving father of Cynthia Sabatino (Thomas). Cherished grandfather of Lauren and Julia. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was a devoted US Navy Corpsman who served during the Korean Conflict. A Member of the Robert H. Spittell Post 1285 American Legion in Bayville. He was the Owner of Dor Porsche-Audi in Roslyn for many years.
