Carreno, Albert E., age 74, of Suwanee, GA, formerly of Bayville, passed away on March 19, at home surrounded by his beloved family. He retired as a New York City Police Department detective of 20 years. Also as a retired Administrative Director of Buildings and Grounds for Locust Valley Central School District. He was a loving husband of 49 years to wife Doris, beloved father of children Cathy (Joe) Couvillion, Robert (Kathleen) Carreno, grandchildren Kristyn, James, Emily and Sarah, brother Robert Carreno, and mother Josephine Carreno. A Memorial Service will be held on April 30, at 11:00 AM at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Bayville. All are welcome to attend. CHRISTIE, Marie of Glen Cove died Saturday, April 2. She was the wife of the late Norman D. Christie, mother of David (Victoria) and grandmother of Richard and Katharine. Both she and her husband Norman owned and operated Christie’s Glen Cove Florist for over 40 years. She was an avid bowler and golfer and was also a member of Eastern Star and Trinity Lutheran Church.
