GOLDBERG, Florence, died on March 22, age 100, of Glen Cove. Beloved wife of the late Louis Goldberg. Loving mother of Deborah Kunstler and Joel Grey. Adored mother-in-law of Mort Kunstler and Mindy Grey. Cherished grandmother of David, Amy, and Jane Kunstler (Cliff Broffman), Gary Grey, and Fredda Goldberg (Drew). KOWALCHUK, Donald Schaeffer of Glen Cove, on March 16, age 71. Dear brother of Michael Greico. Donald was employed by Nassau County and worked for many years at Christopher Morley Park in Manhasset. He was an avid bowler. A Catholic prayer service was held at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Interment private.

MAGENHEIMER, Mary “Muriel” of Glen Cove, on March 18, age 96. Muriel taught second grade at St. Patrick’s School of Glen Cove for 23 years before retiring at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Frederick E, President of Mason Au & Magenheimer Candy Co. previously located in Carle Place. Loving mother of Fred E. (Jr.) (Mary Haldeman) Anne Ostling, James (Terry Pranses), Elizabeth (Jerry Coffey), Louis (Jane) Edward (Norma Salom) and the late John, Frances. Proud Grandmother of 10 Richard, Jeffrey, Greg (Angela) and Annette Ostling (Don Siegel), John (Sue) , Clare and Christine, Owen and Aidan Coffey, Michael. Cherished Great-grandmother of 9. Muriel was born in Brooklyn and graduated from St. Joseph’s College and went on after college to get a Masters in Math. After her husband died she went back to school while teaching and got her Masters in Education. Prior to teaching at St. Patrick’s she had taught at St.Anne’s in Garden City. She is fondly remembered by her students and continued to hear from many even after she retired. Visitation at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas, Glen Cove on Friday April 2 from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Mass at St. Patrick RC Church Saturday April 3 at 10am. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fairhaven Community Health Center, 374 Grand Ave., New Haven, CT 06513.

VITACCO, Genevieve “Jean”, peacefully at home on March 15, age 99, of Brooklyn, and Bayville. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Vitacco, and the late Anthony Monaco. Loving mother of Molly Lamonaca (Late Donald), Patricia Laspagnoletta, (Ronald), Madelyn Sampogna (Dominick), the late Anne Monaco, and the late Ralph Monaco (Catherine), Cherished grandmother of twelve. Proud great grandmother of twelve. Dear sister of Rose Passaro, Gilda Rotella, and Lillian LeDonne (Vincent). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
