Bayville Car Crash

At approximately 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, March 16, a silver Lexus sport utility vehicle jumped the curb and slammed into a pole and the former sign for Steve’s Pier Restaurant. The impact of the crash sent debris from the vehicle onto the barren asphalt parking lot and crumpled the front of the heavy vehicle. The accident, which occurred at the corner of Bayville Avenue and Bayville Park Boulevard, was quickly responded to by the volunteers of the Bayville Fire Company and Nassau County Police. The driver was transported via helicopter to Nassau County Medical Center for medical treatment. The accident required the roadway to be closed for a period of time.
