Abraham Lincoln Lecture and Exhibit, February 3 at 12:30 p.m. in the Interfaith Center, In celebration of Black History Month and the birth month of Abraham Lincoln..
The lecture, “Lincoln and Obama: Lessons from the Past, Inspiration for the Future,” will be given by noted historian and Lincoln scholar Dr. Harold Holzer, senior vice president for external affairs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and co-chairman of the U.S. Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
The exhibit, “Abraham Lincoln: The Great Emancipator and His Legacy,” features 40 paintings and sculptures will be on view February 1-12 at the Hutchins Gallery. An opening reception and discussion with the artist will be held on , February 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hutchins Gallery.
