Whaling Museum Birthday Party, Sunday, August 29 at 2 pm. Celebrate the museum’s 68th birthday since it opened its doors on August 30, 1942. Enjoy fun whale games, decorate a birthday card for the museum, and enjoy birthday cake, of course! All ages.

Mangano announces Nassau County Executive’s First Annual “Cruise to the Show” parade and car show, Sunday August 15, at 9 am. The parade begins at the Nassau County Supreme Courthouse in Mineola and will continue along Stewart Avenue in Garden City. More than 500 vehicles of all makes, models and years will follow the parade route.
