Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Summer Program Registration, began Thursday, April 1. New and renewing members are eligible to enroll. The summer program is a six-week day program for youth ages 6 through 13. The program will run from Monday, July 5 through Friday, August 13, 8:00am. – 6:00p.m. Annual membership is required to enroll ($25.00 per child). The cost of the program is $30 per week which includes supervision and all activities, lunch, and one field trip per week.

10th Annual Day at the Races Honors Tom Reardon, Saturday, May 22, noon to 5 pm, is holding its 10th Annual "Hat Day at the Races" at beautiful Belmont Park. This year's event is one week after the Preakness, the second leg of the Triple Crown, when national interest in thoroughbred racing is at its peak. In addition to a sumptuous buffet luncheon and seating right on the finish line, other attractions include a Ladies Hat Contest and a Men's Tie Contest (with prizes for "most creative" and "fanciest), a 50/50 Raffle, a Horsy Item Raffle, and a Handicapping Contest.
